Levitating Monster

After a walk in the snow which was, frankly, exhausting, I turned Brego out to "free longe" him which means I basically chase him with a whip and watch how he moves. I wanted to see how the he was doing, carrying all that extra weight around. Did he offer both leads? Pushing evenly at the trot? Stumbling or having trouble with the uneven ground? He did well, got some good air on the bucks, and charged over the terrain like it was nothing. I am excited to see how well he handles cross country and foxhunting later this year after practicing on snowy forest pasture.

Big Black Monster in the woods.

Coming over the ridge.

I hate the lady with the whip!!!

Magical headless horse levitates...

I am so angry.... grrr....

Wha? Look at me, I am handsome!

Those bucking pictures are stunning!

What's the funny red patch on his shoulder? A leftover bit that never got clipped from last year?

Funder,
That is his clip, which rubbed on his blanket and then bleached, so in reality it is a rust brown, but looks pink.

In 4 weeks or so, he will get a full body clip and a mane roach. His mane is starting to lay over and get unmanageable.

Silly Brego :)

lol! Look up 'dressage low work' on google images, Daun. Look who comes up on the first page!
Why, if that isn't our handsome Brego. :)

Looks like someone is feeling good! Nice bucking pictures...

I think he looks cute a little chunky - he's big boned, he wears it well. :-)

Pretty impressive buck! Just in case someone was thinking that a Percheron is not athletic. Wow.
